#TOP10SAHIPHOPLOGOS

The coolest SA hip hop artist's logos, font design that we always see in art covers and music videos acting as branding tool.

Welcome to Before Discovery.

If you are a fan of pop culture you will know that Lil Wayne, Meek Mill, Miguel and many more use one distinctive type of font style, in other cases it can be strictly a colour of the font being used throughout the album covers down to the singles art work. South african hip hop artists are catching up to this identity or branding tool, I will be breaking down the #Top10SAHipHopCoolestLogos.

Before the top10 list here are the reasons and the criteria that influenced the design and appeal intuition process:

Logos are being described as a symbol that can provide  consumers with instant and powerful brand recognition of your business and the products that one offers.

Logos function as a different phase of branding, in a manner where branding is explained as art  and science of communicating the corporate identity through everything one does, or say.  Consistency is key, without the strategy behind a font design, a logo can weaken your strategy, your purpose for the logo is to keep brand message consistent to assist in increasing consumer recognition.

To an extent its also based on the reputation an artist built in the market place in order for people to position the respective brand in the right "mental file drawer" in their brains, this is about memory achieved through repeated logo placement.

To up coming hip hop artist remember that you can brainstorm with your branding consultant team or image consultant regarding the ideal logo or font design you think suit your brand, this also applies to talent management brands. One can register the logo as a patent to protect it under South African Patent Act, No.57 of 1978,  it is important to involve an attorney that offers patent assistance, your management and image consultants might not know patent related matters as much as patent advisors.
