Applar-Before Discovery part1
This week we introduce a rapper that's been making a name for himself in the Johannesburg,Gomora music scene, he is Applar, birth name as Aphiwe Sobekwa, this is a story about a self actualization journey.
Applar has been making his land mark on thw come up game, I won't use word "underground scene", he worked with artists like May-L, qualomontez and Kasi Young Hustlers and many more, his last song was "Lobola Budget" which received great reception from his peers and taste makers.
So yes he raps and he has the charisma and flair,so what's different about him?, well he rep small towns that are outside of the big city he's based in, when he set his foot on stage he rep Butterworth,Ngqamakhwe and Centane,Mnquma municipality.
Applar recently got signed to HHS music and record label, who he featured on his new song titled "1000 bullets" produced by Zambi, the production is well disciplined, hook and bridge is what set Applar apart from others, he's witty,energetic and relatable.
In the song he talks about possibilities, his love for his daughter and what he's willing to do to reach the pinnacles he was created to hit.
Being signed by HHS and especially the fact that he is the first artist to sign in HHS camp is a big deal, big deal for his career and where he's from, he come from a place that never grew to its full potential,his story serves an as inspiration, as a reminder to Butterworth and Ngqamakhwe that life is a process, let it take its own course.
